Wendall, a 23-year-old commercial pilot from Zimbabwe and Karen, a 27-year-old model from Nigeria emerged as the winners of the U$200 000 first prizes in another amazing season of Big Brother.
Karen was everyone's favourite with her heart-on-her-sleeve confrontational style which had her, and us, in tears many times over.
Zimbabwe proved to be a strong contender with Wendall, the quietly spoken fellow from Harare, surprising us all by finishing in joint first place.
As a true patriot of Zimbabwe his home country can truly be proud of their entrant.
Congratulatory messages have started pouring in from all over the globe for Wendell for his achievement.
Not to be outdone, the Minister of Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment, Saviour Kasukuwere has congratulated Wendall for winning this year's edition of the big brother amplified.
Kasukuwere said Wendall and Vimbai Mutinhiri's performance in the reality show demonstrates the patriotic spirit of Zimbabwean youths.
He paid tribute to the two for exhibiting the great personalities of the Zimbabwean youths and urged other youths to always lift the country's flag high.
One wonders if Philip Chiyangwa will treat Wendell the same way he treated Chidzonga who came second last year.
