A suspected Sefalana armed robber who on Monday told Palapye Chief Magistrate Setlhogile Motsamai that she is evil repeated his attack yesterday as he said the Court staff were all related.
"We are going to have a problem. All these people are related," said Kabelo Suping to his alleged partner in crime, Gofaone Modukanele.
The Court was outside to view four vehicles which were part of evidence.
Apparently, two days after hitting Sefalana with a stolen shot gun and making away with P714 882.75, the alleged robbers had gone on a car shopping spree.
According Inspector Reuben Moeng who investigated the matter, the four were spotted outside Sefalana by a Vendor on 3rd October, 2013 in a hired vehicle which they used to flee from the scene.
With the description of the vehicle and an anonymous call Moeng said he found the owner of the vehicle who spilled the beans and produced P15 000 he said he got as payment.
The vehicle owner further revealed he had bought a Toyota RunX for Suping.
Modukanele who was arrested in 2013 had also paid someone to buy him a RunX and register in their name.
Moeng told the court Modukanele further bought a Hi-Ace combi under the name Sebereki Phenyane.
"I discovered the accused were unemployed and suspected they'd used the money from Sefalana," said the policeman.
The suspects further objected to the combi being entered as evidence because the prosecution were using a duplicate blue book.
Prosecutor Reuben Sebetela of DPP tried explaining that it was of no consequence but the agitated Suping was not convinced. "Were cars stolen from Sefalana? You people are a family. If we had a lawyer things would be different," said Suping.
When Motsamai tried to reassure him that everything was being recorded Suping retorted; "You, MmaMotsamai, are refusing. I have tried everything to get you off this case even throw papers at you but you're still refusing."
The case continues.
