Grace Mugabe to dish out goodies

First Lady Grace Mugabe who is currently entangled in a $1,4 million diamond ring storm is set to dish out goodies to each Zanu PF member during next week conference.

About 5 000 people are expected to converge in Masvingo for a $4 million bankrolled conference.

According to Saturday state media reports, Grace expected to distribute food hampers.

"There are 10 000 caps, 10 000 bandanas, 10 000 T-shirts, 5 000 wrappers to be distributed and everyone will get a bag to put their documents.

"Delegates would also receive food hampers donated by the First Lady, Dr Grace Mugabe" state media reported.

The conference is set to run between December 13 and 17.

Recently, Zanu PF attracted the ire of opposition parties over the $4m budget for their one-week conference, considering the country is facing serious economic challenges at the moment.

The party claimed it raised $3,7m from a fundraising dinner hosted by  Grace, but most of pledges made had not been met, leaving the party to scrounge for new sources of money.

The host province was  expected to raise $100 000.
