South Africa Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa chanted Zanu PF slogans in Masvingo today as he  delivered the African National Congress (ANC) solidarity message.

Ramaphosa, who this week said he is ready to stand for South African presidency only if elected by ANC branches,  was dispatched by ANC to attend the conference.

"Viva Zanu PF, Halala President Mugabe Halala. Halala President Zuma Halala. Amandla" he  chanted much to the delight of delegates.

Ramaphosa said the ANC has tremendous respect for the 92 year old Mugabe.

However, Ramaphosa said the conference was key to the continent  as it will give direction  to African countries on " how to build a better life for the people".

"President Mugabe among other African Statesmen contributed to democracy that South Africa is enjoying today. More than ever before, we need to work together.

"This vision of a prosperous South Africa and the people of Zimbabwe is a dream shared by our people.

"Today, the Continent looks to this conference as to how together we can build a better life for the people" he said.

He since left for South Africa.

Zanu-PF's theme for this conference is: "Moving with Zimasset in peace and Unity" .
