A manhunt is on in Chivi for a man who stabbed his school day's tormentor to death at a bottle store.

Innocent Dube aged 23 had kept  a grudge on  Simbarashe Dziva (30).

Apparently, Dube had lost a fight while he was in Grade Six, 11 years ago.

Dziva and some of his family members had bullied him when he was in Grade Six.

However, Dube caught up with Dziva at Hoko Bottle store, at Ganyani business centre in Shurugwi.

According to reports, an argument broke leading  Dube to stab Dziva   on the head, chest and abdomen with a home-made knife.

The bottle-store owner, Winterton Muvembi said Dube fled from the scene immediately after committing the crime and is still at large.

"The two had an argument and we initially thought it was about money.

"The enraged Dube hurled insults at Dziva threatening to kill him. He said Dziva and some of his family members had bullied him when he was in Grade Six. He said he was going to fix Dziva for beating him in a fight," he narrated.

He said Dube stormed out of the bottle store, picked up a stone, took aim at Dziva but missed.

On his return back into the bottle-store, Dube then stabbed Dziva.

Dziva  staggered away but collapsed about 60 metres from the bottle store.

He died hours later at  a hospital.
