Matabeleland North Provincial Affairs Minister Cain Mathema has been ordered to shut up after he tried to protect President Robert Mugabe by saying he has nothing warranting him to be protected by MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangaria.

Mathema had made the remarks while reacting to Tsvangirai's calls for Mugabe to step down and advising him to fear not as he will be protected.

Mathema had said Tsvangarai was dreaming and the president has done nothing wrong to anyone which may need him to be protected by the opposition.

Tsvangirai had said he will provide protection for Mugabe as there are accusations that he violated human rights through the early 1980s genocide called Gukurahundi.

In a statement Ibhetshu likaZulu official Mbuso Fuzwayo said Mathema said Mathema was waffling that Mugabe has done nothing wrong when over 20 000 people in Matabeleland lost their lives through his government soldiers.

He said his organisation finds Mathema's statement in bad taste and quite revealing at how far the bootlickers are prepared to go just to preserve a seat at the gravy train.

He accused Mathema of being a collaborator to the Smith regime.

He said he is just grateful to Mugabe for accommodating him but to urinate at the blood of the Ndebeles must stop.

Fuzwayo said Mugabe is answerable to the genocide that took place in this country neither Tsvangirai nor Mathema can provide him with imagined amnesty or exoneration.
