The Restoration of Human Rights Zimbabwe has condemned in the strongest sense the alleged assassination attempt against President Emmerson Mnangagwa's life whilst he was attending a rally at White City Stadium in Bulawayo on the 23rd of June 2018.
"We would like to extend our heartfelt sympathy towards all those who were injured as a result of this barbaric act and our hope is that the perpetrators of this act will be found and apprehended," said the organisation in a statement.
"As an organisation we stand up for and promote peace and unity and as we head towards the elections we urge every Zimbabwean citizen to desist from any forms of political violence but to instead use their votes on the 30th of July to make their voices heard."
