Zapu youth President resigns

ZAPU has suffered another blow as its Youth Front National Chairperson Mehluli Moyo has resigned with immediate effect in protest against the current party leadership.
This come just a few weeks after 200 Zapu members in Bulawayo led by the party's senior leaders Mr Effort Nkomo and Mrs Tryphine Nhliziyo, re-joined Zanu-PF citing disgruntlement and lack of direction in the Dr Dumiso Dabengwa-led party.
Moyo tendered his resignation on the 26th of October 2013. He cited Zapu's approach to politics as the reason why he has decided to throw in the towel.
"Our approach as an organization has failed us and our operating system from Branch to the NEC has proven to be disconnected from reality hence irrelevant in attempting to achieve the vision of ZAPU of creating a democratic society that respects and promotes all human rights and its freedoms," said Moyo in a letter leaked to Byo24News.
Moyo says he will remain as an ordinary member of the party and want to allow other ideas to be put to test.
"After evaluating my work in the party from the 13th of Sept 2009 to the 26th of October 2013, I have performed to the best of my ability and I find it necessary at this juncture to allow other ideas to be put to test. I hope and believe comrades may continue to be inspired and guided by the philosophy of his Excellency President Joshua Mqabuko Nyongolo Nkomo, following are his words extracted from his speech at the funeral of General Lookout Masuku," said Mr Moyo.
"If there is something wrong with someone you must try to uplift him, not oppress him. We cannot condemn other people and then do things even worse than they did."
