MDC Renewal would like to announce the resignation of our Bulawayo Provincial Chairman Mr Kucaca Phulu who tendered his resignation letter to our national chairman Samuel Sipepa Nkomo on Friday 9 January 2015 and was accepted the same evening after wide consultations.
Mr Phulu resigned his position as provincial chairman but will remain a card carrying member of the party.
As a senior partner in a law firm Phulu cited pressure at work as he is needed there full time and as a party we needed him fulltime as well as we prepare for the launch of UMDC and congress later this year, therefore it was going to be difficult for him to continue serving these two organisations fully.
As a province we want to thank him for his services as our chairman who did his work diligently and professional . Although the party have many committed cadres it would be very difficult to replace him . The standards he set would be difficult to emulate.
His servant leadership will be missed as a chairman . As a province we will soon call for a provincial council to elect a new chairman.
