A TRADITIONAL healer stumbled upon scary treasure in the form of human bones near Khami Dams, Bulawayo while he was in the bush digging up tree roots for his herbal enterprise.

Wilfred Jiya (51) a traditional healer under Zimbabwe National Traditional Healers Association (Zinatha) rushed to the cops after his discovery.

"A traditional healer doing his daily routines at a bushy area near Khami Dams discovered human remains. It was a skull, upper jaws, ribs and other bones which were scattered at a radius of about 10 metres," revealed a source that preferred anonymity.

"Also discovered at the scene were a brownish clay pot, a silver table spoon and 50cm-long traditional stick which were about a metre away from a light blue, size 46 worksuit which was heaped, an indication that it had been removed from the human body. There was also a pair of black size 42 sandals inscribed sport and  $3 was discovered in the pocket of the jacket," said the source.

A sangoma who declined to be named suggested that the deceased could have died while performing some rituals.

"The clay pot, silver spoon and a traditional stick as well as the heaped clothes by the side of the skeletal remains communicate a story that we are familiar with when people visit the bushy areas to communicate with their ancestral spirits but ii is shocking that the deceased had to meet his ancestors in such a harsh way," said the sangoma.

He said the state of the bones suggest that they have been there for quite some time.

Bulawayo police spokesman Inspector Mandlenkosi Moyo confirmed the incident.

"I can confirm that human skeletal remains were found in a bushy area near Khami Dams. Until the investigations are complete I cannot say anything further," he said.
