BCC to use community vehicles for refuse removal

THE Bulawayo City Council (BCC) has invited bids from interested members of the community owning trucks ranging between 3 tonnes and 7 tonnes to submit their details to the Director of Engineering Services for consideration and possible hire of their vehicles for refuse removal in designated high density areas which include Pumula North and East, Magwegwe, Lobengula, Emakhandeni, Luveve, Matshobana, Mpopoma, Entumbane, Njube, Mabutweni, Pelandaba, Iminyeia, Mzilikazi, Makokoba, Nguboyenja, Babourfields, Thorngrove Residential and Tshabalala/ Sizinda.
The project will involve refuse removal from the households and streets to designated sites within the wards.
The information required for submission is as follows:-
a) Name and Address of the vehicle owner
b) Copy of the Vehicle registration Book
c) Driver's Licence (Owner or Driver)
d) Current water / rates bill
e) Tonnage of the vehicle
f) Photograph of the vehicle
g) Present Use of the truck
h) Commitment to avail the vehicle to Council's refuse removal schedule
Interested vehicle owners should collect forms from 6th Floor reception, Tower Block and submit Information In sealed envelopes clearly marked 'Engineering Services- Refuse Removal Using Community Vehicles' must be deposited In the tender box at 6th Floor Reception, Municipal Tower Block on or before noon 31st December 2015.
