A MAGWEGWE woman is seeking assistance to take care of 10-day-old twin babies whom she is looking after following the unfortunate death of their mother last week.
The woman, Mrs Sinobuhle Ndlela said the mother of the twin girls died last week at Mpilo Central Hospital.
"The twins were born on 28 July at Mpilo and all was well. The mother then complained of pain on her side and she died on 31 July leaving behind her twins.
"The doctors said she died of pneumonia. I had to take them in as there is no other person who could take care of them," she said.
The mother of the twins, Ms Nothando Sibanda who was 34 was buried at her rural home in Nkayi where her husband lives.
Mrs Ndlela said the challenge was that Ms Sibanda was an orphan and there is no one who could fend for the children.
"Her parents died, her husband lives in the rural areas and is unemployed. We could not even think of giving him the children because he cannot assist them. I took the twins because Sibanda and I are married to brothers. Her other relatives are in no position to care for the twins," said Mrs Ndlela.
She is kindly asking for assistance with milk, diapers and clothing for the babies who were discharged on Friday from Mpilo.
Those willing to assist the twins can call Mrs Ndlela on 0773678068 or visit the Sunday News offices.
