Choppies terminates tribal Romicon Security companyn contract

Following the out cry by Bulawayo residents over Romicon Security company's tribal tendencies at Choppies Supermarkets, MRP petitioned choppies and has finally responded by terminating the contract with them.

Romicon Security company is no longer operating in most of Choppies Supermarkets except for the one better known as the down town spar. The termination of contract follows MRP's exposure video clip where an unknown innocent customer was brutalised for refusing to speak in Shona, and subsequent press statements calling for the company's removal.

 MRP will continue to represent all the people in Mthwakazi without fear, favour or compromise. MRP has taken a stand that it will not allow anyone to come from Mashonaland and start issuing orders to our people.

Mthwakazi people need jobs, therefore we can't afford to have people coming from elsewhere to take up jobs at our expense. In the past months, MRP have noted a change in terms of employment, our people are now being considered . Some businesses have responded to our call to employ the locals, but we feel that's not enough and as party we will continue to engage them.

Failure by these Harare led companies to employ the locals we will black list them and set up a campaign against their products or services. Some few months back, the MRP national executive members met Greens supermarkets Manager and asked him of his opinion on Shona workers who are benefiting at the expense of the locals who are jobless. His response was that it was very bad and very wrong and they will immediately look into the matter.

The manager continued to say probably they might have under looked the matter not knowing it affect the locals. He ended up by apologizing and promised to look into our grievances. Today Greens supermarkets have improved, there are now many Ndebele speaking employees as compared to the easterners. To date Greens is the only supermarket in Bulawayo that accept Rands in notes and coins. In every challenge we might encounter as uMthwakazi if we may all come together and unite we will conquer.

Any form of oppression and marginalisation can be defeated only through unity in our diversity. We are one and we can easily achieve our goal to self determination. SAY NO TO ZANU PF, SAY NO MDC-T, SAY NO TO PEOPLE FIRST and SAY NO to all Mthwakazi oppressors. This is our GOD given territory and we shall continue to seek full self determination of our people until we are all settled.

Say no to anything or anyone who is here to undermine us. Tsvangirai and MDC-T are guilty of corruption and for causing the continual downfall of Bulawayo City Council. Tsvangirai is also responsible for bussing shona people in masses into Mthwakazi. Mujuru just like her own superiors in ZANU PF is guilty of Gukurahundi. Never trust any of these Harare led political parties. The future is in our hands, your liberator will never come from Harare.
