Zimbabwe's Labour Party has accused MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangiari for taking part in the Zanu youth militia formation and challenged him to apologised to the people for his role in Zanu PF.

In a post shared by Peter Richard, the Zimbabwe's Labour Party said Tsvangirai should apologise for the role he played as a youth leader in Zanu.

"Tsvangirai played a huge role in the creation of the Youth Brigade in the early eighties as a top Zanu Official. Zanu (not Zanu (PF)) created the despicable and murderous 5 brigade," reads the post.

"5 Brigade was trained by Koreans as a specialist armed combat unit. Alongside Zanu's youth wing was also trained by the same Koreans and they were known as The Youth Brigade (a replacement of Abel Muzorewa's Dzakutsaku)."

The party said history tells us that Dr M R Tsvangirai was a top Zanu youth leader during this time and the Youth Brigade was responsible for intimidation of residents, harassment to attend Zanu meetings, beating political opponents and last but not least were unleashed to quieten dissent in Matabeleland after the 5 Brigade atrocities of '83-'84.
