As long as vehicles heavier than the load for which the roads were designed for continue to use these roads this initiative will be a WASTE of time and resources.

The primary cause of damage to our roads is the heavy trucks using roads designed for use by lighter motor vehicles. This is very apparent in junctions and traffic lights where there is a lot of breaking.

Instead of experimenting by building a new concrete stretch of road it would be WISER for the City Council to replace pot holed road junctions with concrete instead of filling the pot holes (craters in most instances). Thus killing 2 birds with one stone. The correct grade of concrete MUST be applied of the anticipated traffic loads.

The first logical step in preserving our roads if for the Councils and ZINARA to put road signs indicating the Maximum Weight each stretch of road is designed to carry and the POLICE to have their road blocks (toll gates) after these signs.
