Hitch hiker attacks, drives off in teacher's car

A teacher at Mvurwi High school has been robbed of his silver Honda Fit, registration number ADK 5438, today (Saturday).
It is alleged the teacher, identified as Mr Katsande was duped by a car hijacker who pretended to be a hitch hiker in Mvurwi, Mashonaland Central province.
Katsande drove his vehicle for 2 kilometres before the car hijacker took a screw driver with which he assaulted him with, threatening him to disembark.
The robber then drove off at a tremendous speed.
Katsande filed a police report at Mvurwi station.
Cases of car theft are slowly increasing with the target being xjap cars in Mvurwi but mainly spare parts are being stolen from cars.
Seven cars have been robbed of coil packs in the past two days.
