Students cry foul at Zimbabwe School of Mines.

Mthwakazi Republic Party has visited the school of mines premises in Bulawayo, and students raised concerns over  enrollment criteria which has seen more Shona students being enrolled.

MRP said the students told officials that they wouldn't ascertain the number of Ndebele students this year.

"But traditionally 80% of the students are Shona and so is the % of Shona staff members yet the school is in Bulawayo whenever we raise such issues we are called tribalists, but is this normal?  The CE0 is Mr Dzingai Tusai we could not see him as he was said to be busy in meetings in preparation of the satanic bash in Matopo," said MRP.

"By enrollment, its usually 40-50 students per discipline and there are now 5 disciplines. Both Ndebele students and staff only constitutes 10% of the entire staff and students.  We were told that barely 55% of the students come back for their third year which is their final year, because of the exorbitant fees at the school.  As MRP we urge the Ministry concerned to do something to make sure that Matabeleland students also benefit. We understand that the bulk of STEM beneficiaries are from Mashonaland while only 10% of them are from Mthwakazi which is obviously part of the 1979 grand plan to dis-empower our people.".

"We urge Professor Jonathan Moyo to cleanup the messy at our Collages and Universities in Mthwakazi as soon as possible. One may ask Is education, a right or a privilege of the privileged elite? What is the cost of the right? Stem, hanging on elusive education, shall surely become a failed project."

The party said a single semester of schooling equals to  a housing stand for cost, what has Zimbabwe come to?

"Before you dismiss me for some melancholic misinformed attention seeker, take a trip to Bulawayo, along Coghlain avenue extension past the plushy Parklands suburb, in Killarney is Zimbabwe School of "monies", of Mines, I meant. Supposedly serving the SADC region, isn't that noble? But they say charity begins at home. Of what relevance is this diploma issuing school to the mining industry? " said MRP.

"Sure enough, every mine, loosely speaking, has a graduate of this institution of higher learning. At +$2000 per semester, this institution demands a leg and arm of the readily financially handicapped potential students with burning desires for careers in the mining industry. Considering the fact that the industry in Bulawayo and the rest of Mthwakazi is closed and more than 90% of parents can't afford those exorbitant fees, this is working against the region and the future of children. In case you're wondering, the Zimbabwean government is the largest stakeholder at this institution."

"+$2000 includes no meals or accommodation, and you can make no payment plans, they want the whole lump at once or else you miss lessons.  Yes, I said it, they don't accept payment plans, unless if you clear the fees at once, of which they need not know of your payment plan if that be so. Don't expect a little heaven at the institution, they have classroom like some mid tire high school. Neither are there any state of the art sporting facilities."

The party said fees increases year in year out, be it that it is because of the rising cost of education or their(who ever they are) insatiable hunger for money? I leave you to deliberate.

"For the sake of this economy, the sake of the mining industry I implore the government to take immediate and effective action," said MRP.
