One of our readers was in Filabusi and this Ministry of Health vehicle caught his eye. Is it Matebeleand or Matabeleland or it doesn't matter?
There has been debate that we are so obsessed about these spelling mistake we are now not sure as to whether we should highlight them or just leave the isiNdebele language and spellings being adulterated.
On the 21st February 2017, we carried an opinion article where some residence expressed concern over continued distortions of the Ndebele language by corporates saying it was a violation of the people's identity and language, the government has entered the fray as well. Surprisingly, the Minister who heads this portfolio, Dr. Pagwesese David Parirenyatwa, was born of a lady who spoke isiNdebele, Emely Mkwananzi.
