South Africa - The top performing importers and importer employees of Jaguar Land Rover sub-Sahara Africa were recognised at a glittering awards banquet in Sandton, Johannesburg in South Africa, this week.
Jaguar Land Rover's importer partners from its sub-Saharan markets were present at the prestigious Importer of the Year awards, which highlight the stellar efforts in the British brand's retail network on the continent. The winners are those retailers that ranked the highest in a number of scoring categories for business performance, including vehicle sales volumes, sales of parts and accessories and maintaining Jaguar Land Rover's required customer service standards.
"We have superb relationships with our importers in sub-Sahara Africa. They are the ultimate ambassadors for the Jaguar and Land Rover brands, and their passion has helped their success," said Richard Gouverneur, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover South Africa and sub-Sahara Africa. "We're thrilled to reward the performance of these partners, who do an excellent job of representing these iconic British brands."
Winning the "Importer of the Year" award for Jaguar was RMA Motors Kenya, for the exceptional work it has done in growing the Jaguar brand through excellent sales and customer service. The Kenyan importer was also recognised as the Land Rover sub-Sahara Africa "Importer of the Year" - this double-win being awarded for outstanding efforts in customer service as well as parts, accessories and vehicle sales.
The awards also recognise individuals who excelled in challenging markets by building awareness of the brand, helping regain premium market share and demonstrating true entrepreneurial spirit. This year, the Jaguar Land Rover Marketing Award went to Eliza Cooper, of Axess Mauritius.
"The Jaguar and Land Rover product portfolios are growing, with excellent new vehicles being introduced to the African market," said Gouverneur. "Jaguar's first SUV, the F-PACE has been a success among critics and customers - recently winning the World Car of the Year award. And this year we will introduce more products that will delight customers all over the continent."
