UN braces for President Mugabe

Despite the negative publicity accorded to President Robert Mugabe by his political contenders ahead of the 72nd United Nations General Assembly, (UNGA), his glory train is certainly unstoppable given the theme of the assembly which affords him the forum to unpack and push for the values and principles of Pan Africanism.
Famous of his "So Blair (Former British Prime Minister, Tony), keep your England and let me keep my Zimbabwe" President Mugabe is set to make his key note address hinged on the theme 'Focusing on People: Striving for Peace and a Decent Life for All on a Sustainable Planet' in New York, US, armed to the teeth with strides Zimbabwe has made to better the lives of Zimbabweans.
The Summit comes at the backdrop of President Mugabe's nationwide Presidential Youth Interface Rallies which are attracting thousands of youths from the country's 10 Provinces thereby, showcasing his sincerity as an African leader to heed the plight of all Zimbabweans, more so, the youths who are going to carry the torch of his legacy.
Speaking on the possible points President Mugabe is likely to hammer home at the Summit, Political commentator, Alouis Hove, indicated that President Mugabe has a lot of exhibit to showcase how as Zimbabwe's President and icon of Africa has pushed for providing a decent living for all through eradication of poverty. Hove submitted that "in President Mugabe, Africa has an ideal mould of a true African revolutionary icon whose beliefs have been demonstrated through the recent donation of US$1 million to the African Union to finance its operations. The donation humbled many African leaders and as such, he has managed to win the hearts of many."
Hove added that President Mugabe's political foresight had played out through the humble gesture. "Vast political intelligence is something no amount of propaganda and negative publicity will ever take from President Mugabe. It will take long before the local opposition finds his match and Africa sees an equal of him."
A University of Zimbabwe law student, Charles Masaiti, predicted that on poverty alleviation, President Mugabe is likely to echo on the success story of Command Agriculture which has given birth to various siblings inclusive of Command Water Harvesting, Command Livestock and Command Fisheries among other developmental projects in the pipeline.
