Former Zanu PF youth member, Fidelis Fengu have said it is not necessary for the people to worry themselves over the cabinet ministers who were appointed by President Emmerson Mnangagwa saying the cog of the government systems work through the permanent secretaries.
"The stockholders have spoken, the stock has no right to complain. ED went for a unified ZANU-PF ahead of the elections. People like David Parirenyatwa, Webster Shamu, Obert Mpofu bring numbers and influence from their provinces. ED went for the marathon approach, unlike the sprint mentality that you all wanted," he said.
"ED is a thinker and backroom operator who understands strategy. I don't like ED but I like his moves, pure genius. ED understands that reform needs to be at Pem Sec , Principal Director and Director level. This is where you need the youth, the technocrats and thinkers, and this is where he will place them. Ministers are just faces, and names. Even the cabinet briefs they present are written for them by the PemSecs. ED went for consolidation, unity and electioneering. Its not rocket science."
He said for the cry babies, listen, even if Morgan Tsvangirai was to wake up in cabinet if one depend on a sugar one would not wake up 30 years younger just because Tsvangirai is in cabinet (pun intended).
