No arrest for cop who raped his subordinate

A Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Officer In Charge in Bindura is accused of raping his subordinate after offering her a lift from Harare to Bindura three weeks ago. However, he was not arrested following the accusation.
According to a leaked police radio, the officer in charge Allan Mafuratidze, (40), offered a lift to a 36-year-old female constable together with other passengers on 26 May 2018 and raped her once after all passengers had disembarked.
"The accused person gave the complainant a lift from Harare to Bindura. On arrival in Bindura he offered to drop the complainant at her residence after all passengers had disembarked.
The accused person drove towards Zimbabwe Ezekial Guti University and parked at a secluded place.
Mafuratidze stopped and locked his vehicle doors using central locking system before jumping at the back seat where the complaint was sitting.
He forced open the complainant's legs pushed aside her pant and raped her once, after the rape the complainant's was dropped at her place of residence.
She reported the rape to her husband who advised her to withhold reporting the case, the complainant then reported the case on 15/06/18 to Bindura Central Police after seeing no intention from her husband to file a formal criminal report.
Bindura Central Police attended the scene and the accused was not arrested, investigations are in progress under RRB number 3553389," reads the radio.
