POLICE were called on Friday after a woman walked into the offices of The Daily News and excoriated journalists before urinating in the reception area.
The woman, who apparently got her knickers in a twist over the newspaper's coverage of President Robert Mugabe's recent trip to Asia, left the newspaper's offices before police arrived.
A car waiting outside drove her away, said
Daily News's news editor Guthrie Munyuki said the woman, thought to be between 27 and 30 years, had scolded reporters over reports that Mugabe was seriously ill in Singapore, before the 88-year-old leader crushed those rumours by returning home on Thursday, apparently fit and well.
Munyuki said the woman was shouting stuff like 'show us the president's coffin.'
The whole incident was captured on CCTV and The Daily News said it will hand over the footage to the police.
Munyuki maintained the incident would not intimidate their journalists.
