Celebrity chef collaboration puts a saucy spin on breakfast

Local food manufacturer Efoods has enlisted the insight and expertise of celebrity chef, Carl Joshua Ncube, to collaborate on a new range of sauce-inspired yoghurts.
Prompted by his unorthodox tactics - like the signature Mazoe-basted roasted chicken - Ncube was approached with a brief to collaborate and innovate a game changer for breakfast.
The new yoghurt range is set to take the breakfast market by storm, combining the full- flavoured profiles of ‘traditionally' cooked meals and re-formulating them (through key ingredient: AFD) for morning meals in a way that combines the best of both worlds.
"One of our core beliefs is that tasty food should be easy and affordable. With that in mind, we are always on the look-out for unique ways to bring meals to life through our sauces" said Justin Evans, head of marketing at Efoods.
Carl Joshua Ncube, the king of comedy and curious cook said: "I always like to challenge myself to stay creative and find fresh takes on my ingredients. To say no to an exciting opportunity collaborating with one of my favourite sauces would simply be foolish."
Starting with three best-selling flavours (Sweet Chilli, BBQ, and Tomato) the Limited Edition range is an ideal alternative for cereals, mueslis, smoothies, and drinks. Alternatively, the dairy-base makes a great addition to curries, pastas and even marinades.
Following highly successful product sampling on the collaboration, a relationship is set to formalise between Ncube and Efoods who are in discussions to appoint the celebrity chef as a brand ambassador.
More good news for the retail food category, Efoods has promised to expand their range even further with the introduction of a newly-installed cold process manufacturing line.
