Chamisa's MDC wins Manicaland by-election

The MDC led by Nelson Chamisa has won the Mutare Central Ward 10 by election.
The MDC's candidate Rose Tanyaradzwa Mukodza polled 801 votes against Zanu-PF's Margaret Tindirika who garnered 548. The Lovemore Madhuku led National Constitutional Assembly (NCA)'s candidate Tanyaradzwa Chirimo polled 16 votes.
The seat fell vacant following the arrest and subsequent conviction of the then councillor Frank Chitembwe for his alleged involvement in the January protests.
