Man finds girlfriend having sex with another man, 'kills' her

A Shamva man failed to accept his girlfriend's cheating habits after he caught her having sex with another man at a local bar.

The now deceased Steria Chaponda (27) was fatally assaulted by her boyfriend Kennedy Mwaliwanda (37) with open hands.

Mashonaland Central deputy police spokesperson Tonny Nyandoro confirmed the case.

"I can confirm a murder case in Wadzanai Shamva where a man fatally assaulted his girlfriend in a domestic dispute," Nyandoro said.

Allegations are that on June 1 Mwaliwanda was informed that his girlfriend was having sex with another man at a local bar and he then went to the scene and saw the shocking incident.

After seeing the action he went home without taking any action and waited for his girlfriend to get back home.

When Chaponda arrived home later a heated dispute ensued and Mwaliwanda ended up assaulting her.

She sustained serious injuries and a day later she complained of stomach problems and her boyfriend bought her fresh milk to drink.

After drinking the milk she started vomiting and he went to tell the deceased's friend who came to the scene and found Chaponda dead.

Police warned people to desist from violence and urged them to seek counseling when they have disputes.
