PERSISTENT headaches forced a Murambinda teacher to commit suicide recently.
Police confirmed the death of Clarkson Mukangaidzwa (23), a teacher at Murambinda High School who was found hanging from a tree branch.
Clarkson reportedly told his father, Mr Nobert Mukangaidzwa (67) that he was tired of enduring severe headaches and was contemplating killing himself so as to rest.
"He told him that since he was having a torrid time because of the headache the last option was for him to die. Nobert, however, advised him against the idea. Clarkson, on January 14, vanished from his homestead before his family and neighbours launched a search. The following day, Clarkson's lifeless body was found hanging from a tree branch," Manicaland police spokesman, Inspector Enock Chishiri, said.
Meanwhile, a Honde Valley man consumed five packs of a pesticide poison and paper glue after he had heard that police were looking for him in connection with rape allegations being levelled against him.
Malvin Nyabadza (18) who hails from Chief Mutasa was unsettled when his mother, Ms Getrude Buuya (49) told him that he was being implicated in a rape case and police were looking for him.
Malvin vehemently denied the allegations and suddenly left for Nyabadza Business Centre. He went to buy five packs of a pesticide and a bottle of paper glue. He consumed the substances and was on January 27 found dead by his aunt, Story Buuya (25) who reported the matter to the police.
