Pinnacle Baptist Assemblies pastor and musician Herman Chimusoro yesterday appeared in court on allegations of swindling the police of $192 000 he was given to purchase musical instruments.
Chimusoro (46) was not formally charged when he appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Donald Ndirowei facing theft of trust property charges.

It is alleged that in May, Chief Superintendent Marange of the police Staff College engaged Chimusoro to supply the force with musical instruments.
Chimusoro allegedly charged $192 000 and was paid in July and September.
Ms Mashavira said on November 14, Chimusoro supplied eight speakers to the police which were of low value and they were subsequently returned.
On September 10, it is alleged that Chimusoro confessed that he misused the money which was meant for purchasing the musical instruments.
