MDC T Deputy National Organising Secretary and Member of Parliament for Nkayi South Abednico Bhebhe shocked the nation when he shared an explicit p▩rn▩graphic video on social network Facebook.
The video posted by the die hard Morgan Tsvangirai loyalist shows a young school girl in explicit sex with a teacher in what appears to be inside the teacher's office at school. According to the explaination given on the video title, the teacher is said to have had the horrible sexual act with the little girl just to give the child an additional six marks to make her pass an examination.
What is shocking with the video the "honourable" Member of Parliament shared is that the link to the video has a specific warning that the video is HORRIBLE in bold capital letters but the MP went on to share it.
Extract of the link the not so honourable Member of Parliament shared as shown on Facebook reads:
"Abednico Bhebhe shared a link. [HORRIBLE VIDEO] Teacher did so hard just for giving her 6 extra marks to pass exam floor.wwwhost.biz "
Commenting on the disgusting video the MP shared his friends castigated him for being irresponsible with some even calling on the leader of his party Mr Morgan Tsvangirai to comment on his right hand man's irresponsible behaviour.
Godfrey Zireva wrote, "As an MP is it proper to use Facebook for such serious issues affecting our children. If and I will repeat If you Mr Bhebhe as an MP you are responsible for posting this you should be ashamed of yourself. What you are supposed to be doing is taking this to the police and minister of education to deal with this culprit. "
"Is this MDC-T way of thinking? This goes as far as Morgan (Tsvangirai) he must explain also," added very concerned Zvireva
Shaun Mupani, commented "P▩rn loving hon Mp, am disgusted!what the hell! Honourable, I think uyirubbish yomdala!!!!"
Some of his friends tried hard to down play the post claiming that the post is a spam on the legislature's wall.
Terrence Tazvivinga wrote! "Relax guys, this is just spam and it posts itself on people's walls. The guy is not even aware there is such a post on his wall."
However, contacted for a comment, an Information Technology specialist Mr Milton Moyo who runs an internet cafe and IT school in Bulawayo, rubbished the claims that Bhebhe was not aware that he was sharing the video on his wall. According to the IT specialist, the link has a specific instruction that for one to continue to view the video they must first share it on their wall and its followed by a confirmation question if the person indeed wants to share it.
"That's not true, I have gone through the link and its designed in a manner that specifically asks the would be viewer of the video to first share it on his wall before he can access full view of the video. This certainly isn't a step the gentleman would not have missed as he went through the link," said the IT specialist.
"He may claim not to be aware that he shared the video on his wall but the way the video is designed is full confirmation that the MP watched the video because it shares on the wall just before it opens up the video and besides it has a clear warning that it is a horrible video leaving some of us young people disgusted at some of the things our fathers are watching. We try very hard to discourage downloading and watching of p▩rn▩graphy in our industry but if our leaders are the ones heavily involved in it how then do we stop the young users we meet with everyday?" Asked for a comment, a former Parliamentarian who refused to be named also castigated Bhebhe for stooping down that low as to share a video of the nature to the public.
"This is very irresponsible for Abednico (Bhebhe), we do not expect this kind of behaviour from people we call honourables. Where is the honour if he has to find himself involved in such activities whether knowingly or by mistake? He is lucky that he is in Zimbabwe, in other good democracies he would have resigned from parliament on his own accord or forced to resign," said the former legislature who is a close associate to Bhebhe.
"As the other people have said in their comments, Bhebhe owes the nation a huge explanation and apology and I also concur with the comment that Bhebhe's behaviour reaches to his party president who must also give a statement and apologise on his senior official's behaviour," said the former MP.
The Movement for Democratic Change led by Morgan Tsvangirai has over the years been exposed to a lot of sex scandals involving some of its senior members. Party president himself Mr Morgan Tsvangirai has also lost a lot of credibility on himself because of his sexual appetite having been accused of being in numerous sexual relations with several women in and outside the country earning himself the nick name "Gumbura" and his party a tag of "party of sexcellence." This incident is surely going to be a test of character for both the MDC T and Bhebhe if the party hopes to retain its credibility.
