Mugabe back from E. Guinea, met by Mujuru and Mutasa

President Robert Mugabe has arrived back home from Equatorial Guinea, where he implored leaders from Africa to consider ways of mobilising resources to fund projects to be implemented under the Africa-Turkey partnership.
President Mugabe left for Harare late Friday afternoon soon after chairing the closing session and the Presidential round table debate at Sipopo Conference Centre in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, where the 2nd Africa-Turkey summit was held.
Mugabe together with Turkish President Recep Erdogan who left almost at the same time, were seen off at Malabo International Airport by host President Theodore Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
Upon arrival at the Harare International Airport, Mugabe was met by Vice President Dr Joice Mujuru, Senior Minister of State Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo, Presidential Affairs Minister Didymus Mutasa, Defence Minister Dr Sydney Sekeramayi, Minister of State for Harare Metropolitan province Miriam Chikukwa, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda, senior government officials and service chiefs, among others.
The 2nd Africa-Turkey summit reviewed the performance of the 1st partnership and also endorsed projects and implementation matrix on priority areas for the coming four years.
In his presentation and closing remarks, Mugabe highlighted the need for African leaders to first address the issue of how they will fund the programmes, said Foreign Affairs Minister Simbarashe Mumbengegwi who attended the closed sessions.
