A Bulawayo musician known as Nashie is up in arms with a promoter who offered a mere $40 for a gig compared to $1500 for Harare artists for the same show.
The show is planned for Palace Gardens on April 24.
According to Nashie, the promoter DJ Phat Joe offered $40 instead of the standard $300.
However, Shinsoman and Soul Jah Love have been paid a cool $1500 each for the show.
Said Nashie "I decided to expose these guys because this is what promoters in Bulawayo do. If we don't do this they will continue shortchanging local artists," he said.
"Some artists will keep quiet because I already know others will accept that money. Artists in Bulawayo can perform for a few pints of beer and promoters take advantage of that," he added.
