Jumbos wreck havoc in Mhondoro-Ngezi

Marauding jumbos are wrecking havoc in some parts of Mhondoro-Ngezi destroying crops dashing any hopes of a good yield in the area.
The elephants that have been roaming freely in some parts of Mhondoro-Ngezi are believed to have strayed from a private animal sanctuary in Mashonaland West.
The farmers say relevant authorities must find a permanent solution to the elephant menace and possibly avert fatal human-wild life conflicts.
When the ZBC News visited one of the affected farmers, armed parks and wildlife rangers who seem to have also failed to drive the jumbo's away could be seen patrolling the area.
The rangers are said to be taking turns to scare away the elephants with gun shots in the air.
Efforts to get a comment from parks and wildlife authority were fruitless.
