Mugabe meet Algerian PM

The Prime Minister of Algeria Abdelmalek Sellal has paid a courtesy call on President Robert Mugabe.

Reports from Algiers say President Mugabe and Prime Minister Sellal are in a closed door meeting which is also being attended by Foreign Affairs Minister Simbarashe Mumbengegwi and Industry and Commerce Minister Mike Bimha and their Algerian counterparts.

The talks are expected to focus on bolstering bilateral relations between the two countries.

The talks are also expected to give the two countries an opportunity to discuss ways of addressing a number of international issues of common interest, including those related to peace, security, cooperation and integration in Africa.

President Mugabe, who is the current AU and SADC chairman, is in Algiers the capital city of Algeria at the invitation of President Bouteflika.
