Bishop TD Jakes invites ZimPraise for MegaFest

The country's leading gospel choral group - ZimPraise will be heading to the United States in August after renowned pastor - Bishop Thomas 'TD' Jakes invited them to minister at the MegaFest Conference taking place there.
Speaking with ZimPraise chief executive officer - Joseph Madziyire through a Skype call during his Sunday service in America last week, the bishop, who was impressed by the group's performance in London last year asked them to grace his annual revival MegaFest Conference.
"I'd the privilege of seeing ZimPraise in London when I was preaching at Bishop John Francis' church, and there was a glory and anointing when they praised and ministered.
"They're a group of fiery young people who love the Lord," TD Jakes told his congregation.
The Potters House Bishop said he invited the talented Zimbabwean group because he wanted to make the MegaFest Conference exciting and give his congregation an opportunity to enjoy what he experienced when he first watched the group perform last year.
"I was praying for something exciting and a little crazy to do for the MegaFest and I decided to invite them over.
"I think multiculturalism is incredible because you get to see all of these different expressions of praise," Bishop TD Jakes said, commending the group for its music.
The conference which will run from August 19 to 23 at the Bishop's Potters House — a non-denominational American megachurch is expected to attract more than 85,000 attendees from at least 30 countries. About 75,000 people attended last year's conference.
An excited Madziyire expressed appreciation over the invitation which he accepted during last Sunday's service.
"Zimpraise will definitely be ministering at the Christian festival in America and the group is so excited," Madziyire told TD Jakes who showered praises on the group.
"Everything we've been praying for, visions that God has told us about regarding uniting the nations are all becoming a reality. It's all about Jesus and we're going to be in the Potters House," added Madziyire.
Various seminars, film festivals as well as concerts will be held during the conference.
ZimPraise spokesperson, Tendai Zhou said: "We're excited and in awe to be part of a noble life-changing event and to be lifting the flag of Zimbabwe on such a platform. We'll be spreading the gospel of Christ through our music."
He said plans were underway to facilitate the group's travel to America.
