AN unashamed Mutare man who has been receiving his conjugal rights in front of his four-year-old daughter has been warned by the courts to desist from psychologically disturbing his daughter.
The matter came to light after Chipo Ngarava had applied for a protection order from her husband, Murau Chomba, whom she claimed was in the habit of asking for his conjugal rights in front of the minor and assaulting her if she refuses.
The pair appeared before Mutare magistrate Mrs Yeukai Chigodora.
Ngarava told the court that her daughter had since started teaching other children she plays house with sexual games.
She told the court that Chomba begged for his conjugal rights continuously that even the child would end up asking her to just give in.
"Your Worship, at most times our child is the one who ends up begging me to give him his conjugal rights because she would have had enough of it too."
Ngarava also told the court that Chomba had threatened to kill the child after she had claimed maintenance and had since thrown the two out of her matrimonial house after he had been served with court summons for the civil matter.
Chomba, however, told the court that his wife was in the habit of denying him his rights and that was the reason for his behaviour.
He also denied to have ever begged in close earshot of the minor.
"I beg her at midnight and of course the child would be present, but out of ear shot since she will be asleep.
"You can't possibly expect a four-year-old child to be awake at midnight," he said.
The court granted Ngarava the protection order and Chomba was barred from harassing, assaulting and insulting her.
"If what your wife has said is true that you ask for your conjugal rights in front of your minor child, I urge you to desist from such practice since it will psychologically disturb the child for the rest of her life," said Mrs Chigodora.
