A cheeky landlady confiscated her male tenant's BMW car in a frantic effort to recover $9 000 outstanding rentals.
Errol Mazodze of house number 94 Taomina avenue Marlborough lost his BMW to Fransisca Birds.
The unbearable though of losing a car forced Errol to make a police reported leading to Birds' arrest.
She is facing charges of unauthorised borrowing or unauthorised use of property.
But she denied the charges saying she took the car as per their agreement with Errol.
The court heard that sometime in March, Errol asked his gardener to clean the car while he was still a tenant at Birds' place.
Birds arrived at the house and took the car and parked it in her garage.
She said she will only release the car after Errol had cleared the $9,320 in rentals and $1,536 in rates.
