FOR hobos and some whoonga addicts, shoplifting is part of their daily lives. However, it's not always easy to get away with such criminal acts because most supermarkets have 24-hour surveillance cameras.
This was the case for this man, who was caught stealing packs of cheese at a big supermarket in KZN recently.
What's even worse is that his criminal act was turned into a joke on Facebook this week.
In a picture that circulated on social media, the thug with packs of cheese stuffed under his jacket appeared to be searched by the security guards at the store's exit. The photo was uploaded by Nelisiwe Ngcobo on her timeline.
Bystanders took turns snapping him with cellphone cameras after the security guards had zipped down his jacket.
Below the picture, Nelisiwe wrote: "Caught red handed.
"Tjo! Probably his baby mama demanded the kids' lunch box."
Her amused friends started criticising the suspect.
Justin Nkosi wrote: "Lmfao, which means Laughing My F***ing Ass Off.
"I wonder who he is going to sell those packs of cheese to?
"He's not the cheese type. His girlfriend probably demanded it and refused to give him cake."
Nqobile Mbongwa added: "This is not a cheese type of a guy. His customers have lost shame."
Some comments were in support of the man, but another facebook user, Phumzile Gebashe, lashed out at those feeling sorry for him.
"There's no shame here. This is a crook who steals our kids' food," she said.
Daily Sun could not trace the exact location of the store where the man had stole the cheese or what happened to him.
