Soldier bashes excessive drinking wife in public

A soldier based at Inkomo Barracks who was fed up with her wife's excessive drinking habits landed in court after he repeatedly beat her with an empty bottle.
Felix Svova (25) was sentenced to perform 140 hours of community service.
Svosva pleaded for the court's leniency arguing that he was a family man who was worried about the well-being of his minor child.
"Your worship, my son is 11 months old and I am the breadwinner. I assaulted my wife out of anger when I saw her drinking beer at a bar," he said.
According to the Herald, on June 13 Svosva followed Precious Dube (24) at Makomva Shopping Centre where she was drinking beer.
He got angry with Dube and used an empty bottle to assault her several times on her head.
Dube sustained injuries on the head.
