Macheso returns with new stuff

SUNGURA virtuoso Alick Macheso, better known as Extrabassois back in Mutare after a moment of hibernation in a potentially explosive show slated for The Platinum.
This time, his legion of fans will be looking forward to having a blissful night with the shrewd bassist as he is set to unleash his new tracks from his much-awaited forthcoming album, yet to be christened.
The album according to sources has traditional six tracks, and a bonus dancehall track.
The Orchestra Mberikwazvo front man who doesn't hide his love and affection for Mutare fans last performed in the eastern border city and at the same venue more than three months ago.
His flawless performance and lyrical expertise has made him a darling of many and tonight, he is also expected to belt out songs that made him a household name like Mundikumbuke, Shedia, Sarah, Kushungurudzwa, Kumuzi Kwatu and the crowd favourite, Tafadzwa Nyarara off the album, Zvinoda Kutendwa.
The show organisers confirmed the show and said it was all systems go at the popular entertainment centre.
"We urge people to come in their numbers and have undiluted fun at the favourite entertainment joint. It has been long since hosting a musician of such calibre and we are happy that he will be here in Mutare and meet his fans again.
"Fun lovers should come in time to avoid inconveniences. Upcoming artistes who are rocking it in the local entertainment arena will curtain raise for Macheso," said the organisers.
