Insulting MP lands Zanu-PF activist in trouble

Mutare-based Zanu-PF activist, Binali Yard, was arrested yesterday for allegedly sending insulting text messages to Dangamvura/Chikanga MP Esau Mupfumi, accusing him of failing to properly run party affairs in the constituency.

Yard was among the five Zanu-PF candidates, who contested the party's primary elections, and lost to Mupfumi ahead of a by-election held in June this year.

Yard's lawyer Chris Ndlovu confirmed his client's arrest.
