The Zimbabwean champions are not leaving anything to chance as they prepare for their debut campaign in the CAF Champions League.

The Gamecocks will play Sundowns in the preliminary round with the first leg set for the weekend of 12 to 14 February.

Chicken Inn Secretary, Tavengwa Hara revealed that the club has set out various workshops meant to better prepare them for the gruelling task ahead.

With a confirmed financial backing, it is expected that the Joey Antipas-led Gamecocks technical team will be able to concentrate on action in the field of play.

Former Dongo Sawmill top marksman, Fiswell Madavi, Moses Demera from Flame Lilly, have been signed together with the Bantu Rovers duo of Teenage Hadebe and Obadiah Tarumbwa.

Sundowns boast of an expensively assembled outfit that includes Zimbabwean internationals, Cuthbert Malajila and Khama Billiart, while Warriors legend, Peter Ndlovu, is in the technical set up.

Hara is however unfazed.

The Gamecocks also boast of an array of talent in 2015 Soccer-Star of the Year, Danny 'Deco' Phiri, goalkeeper of the year, Elvis Chipezeze and other soccer stars of the year finalists; Clemence Matawu and Edmore Chirambadare.
