Man bashes neighbour over 'witchcraft'

A MAN FROM Chibondo Village in Hwange is in trouble after he pounced at his neighbour's home accusing her of bewitching him before assaulting her with a log.
Luck Ncube (38) was not asked to plead when he appeared before Hwange magistrate Rosemary Dube.
The magistrate remanded him to November 8.
The court heard that the complainant in the matter is Liya Kanyika and on October 16 this year the accused went to Kanyika's home and accused her of casting a spell of misfortune and illness.
He allegedly took a log and assaulted her all over the body before leaving to his home where he came back armed with a knife saying he wanted to finish her. He was blocked by the complainant's mother. Kanyika sustained injuries following the assault.
