Man who killed wife thinking she was a goblin found not guilty in court

A 24-year-old man from Mwenezi who stabbed his wife wife to death in her sleep thinking she was a goblin has been freed at the High Court.
According to court records the Mikiana Sandako stabbed his wife Chiedza Regerai in August 2015 thinking she was a goblin that was punching him in a dream.
In court, High Judge Justice Joseph Mafusire ruled that Sandako was temporarily insane when he committed the crime.
He, however, ordered him to be kept at the Chikurubi Maximum Prison's Psychiatry Unit until doctors certify him fit to go back into the society.
