Zanu-PF MP files $200k lawsuit

Zanu-PF Mberengwa East legislator Makhosini Hlonganwe has dragged a prominent Mberengwa businessman to court accusing him of lying that he had denigrated party spokesperson Rugare Gumbo at a party provincial meeting.

Hlonganwe are demanding $200 000 in damages from businessman Prymore Ndlela as a result of the alleged inconvenience.

Ndlela is alleged to have declared before Zanu-PF Midlands provincial party meeting on 6 April that at one point Hlonganwe had uttered denigratory statements over Gumbo.
