Legend Warriors and former Dynamos midfielder Ronald 'Gidiza' Sibanda
was found very much alive but very drunk after reportedly gone missing.
Ronald's brother, former Highlanders coach Bongani Mafu, who is now coaching Botswana's Mochudi Centre Chiefs coach, wrote on his Facebook,"I am convinced we have a GEORGE BEST in my family." after he was relieved the former star was found.
"I think it is only right and civil to thank EVERYONE who highlighted and spread the word about my brother Ronald Gidiza Sibanda's time MISSING. It really was a BIG SCARE for the family and really a huge blow to our elderly mother.
"I would therefore like to thank INDIVIDUALS, WHATSAPP GROUPS and ALL the NEWSPAPERS that carried the story to highlight our grief.
"Thank you very much for your noble intentions. We are mighty appreciative as a family.
Bulawayo24.com reported on Friday, Sibanda had not been seen since last Sunday when he left his family home in New Lobengula for Barbourfields Stadium where there was a football match.
We reported that Gidiza was in the company of a friend who had also reportedly vanished without a trace.
Gidiza's mother had said the lanky midfield general's mobile phone and that of his friend who works in Harare had been switched off since Tuesday evening. His friend works in Harare but has not reporting for work.
A police report had been made.
The family said they had checked with all hospitals in the City as well as mortuaries to no avail.
