Joyce Banda Defends Visits to TB Joshua

Malawi Vice President Joyce Banda says she would not stop visiting Nigeria to worship at Prophet TB Joshua's temple.

The Veep, who is also president of People's Party, says to her, Prophet TB Joshua's temple in is her ideal place for worship.

The second citizen has on several occasions been spotted on TB Joshua's popular Emmanuel TV in Lagos, Nigeria.

"I have found it (TB Joshua's temple) to be the best place for me to get in touch with God," she said.

The Veep made clear her position on prayer and worship when she presided over the launch of the Northern region chapter of Orange Achievers in Mzuzu city recently.

The Orange Achievers is a network of professionals and business people who follow PP ideological and political policies

Members work together to assist the needy and help each other to boost their businesses and improve their livelihoods.

She alleged that some people have been speaking ill of her visits to the Nigeria church, by combining it with politics.

"I visit the Nigeria-based church just the way some Christians visit Israel. Just like pilgrimages Muslims make to Mecca," she said.

Mrs. Banda who is also the founder of Peoples Party further revealed that during her recent visit to the synagogue church, Prophet TB Joshua asked her to make a prayer request and all she prayed for was to thank God for being faithful to her despite the many hurdles she has faced throughout the year 2011.

"I have been the most victimized person in the year, but God and Malawians especially women have been faithful to me," she said.

So far according to her, the network has formed a Malata project which will be helping to roof houses of poor women.
