'Pope Francis I should visit Africa,' says Mugabe

President Robert Mugabe, says the newly elected Roman Catholic Church leader, Pope Francis I, should consider visiting the African continent during his reign.
Mugabe was speaking in an interview with ZBC News in Rome where he and Grace Mugabe were attending the inauguration of Pope Francis.
Mugabe, a catholic, joined over 30 world leaders and hundreds of thousands of Catholics who thronged St Peters Square in the Vatican City for Pope Francis' inaugural mass.
Pope Francis was appointed Head of the Catholic Church on the 13th of March replacing 85-year old Pope Benedict 16th, now addressed as Pope Emeritus who resigned due to ill health.
Earlier on, Mugabe met with the auxiliary bishop to Rome, Mateo Zupti who played an instrumental role in bringing peace to Mozambique during the Frelimo and Renamo conflict.
Bishop Mateo was accompanied by St Edios International Relations Head Dr Mauro Garofalo who paid tribute to Zimbabwe for conducting a peaceful referendum which will pave way for harmonised elections this year.
