As tensions continue to escalate along the Ukraine-Russia border with the threat of war looming large and international concern rising, it has been revealed that a controversial clergyman in faraway Africa had actually predicted the crisis several months ago.
"Pray for the nation, Russia because I am seeing war coming against them," Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua told his congregation at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) on Sunday 29th December 2013. "Their leader will face opposition. Pray for them," he continued in a 'prophetic' message that was broadcast live via his religious television station Emmanuel TV, reportedly viewed by millions.
It is not the first time T.B. Joshua has gone on record to give predictions about world events. He is said to have accurately foretold the sudden death of Malawi's late leader, Bingu wa Mutharika, the terrorist attack in Boston and the demise of pop legend Michael Jackson.
At the time of the 'prophecy', protests were ongoing and tensions were steadily brewing in Ukraine over people's discontent with Russian influence and the refusal of their government to work with the EU. However, few thought it would result in the fatal riots, ensuing military activity and war rhetoric that has unfolded in recent days.
