Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa has claimed that he prophesised that President Robert Mugabe would fire former Vice-President Joice Mujuru.
Makandiwa says he made the prophecy six months before the 2014 Zanu PF congress that sealed the latter's ouster from both the ruling party and government.
"This also applies to the national situation. I see this woman being frustrated and packing her bags and she leaves for a moment, and when she comes back, she challenges the husband," Makandiwa is reported to have said then.
He said the prophecy was referring to Mujuru, who was hounded out of Zanu PF and has returned to the political fold, leading her own opposition party, Zimbabwe People First, to challenge Mugabe in the 2018 general elections.
In 2010, Makandiwa said he also prophesied the late Retired General Solomon Mujuru's death when he spoke of two prominent ants in a book and when he looked at the other page, the other ant had gone, it had died.
The prophecy, he said, foretold Mujuru's death in an inferno at his Beatrice farm in 2011.
Makandiwa's spokesperson, Prime Kufa told NewsDay yesterday the UFIC leader was only reminding his congregation of the power of God through some of the prophecies that had occured.
"He was only reminding the people of some of his prophecies that came to pass," he said.
