Mozambique is facing unprecedented civil war engineered by the ISIS militia men. This has prompted the Zimbabwean president moved by passion to sound a strong warning alarms to ISIS.

President Emerson Mnangagwa said Zimbabwe is ready ready to help neighbouring Mozambique fight the Islamist insurgency in Cabo Delgado Province that has dragged on for four years now.

The President Mnangagwa wrote on Twitter on Tuesday expressing concern over the conflict which is also known as the Cabo Delgado Civil War that has adversely affected civilians. He said:

I am deeply shocked by reports of terrorist activity in Mozambique. These acts of barbarity must be stamped out wherever they are found.

Zimbabwe is ready to assist in any way we can. The security of our region is paramount in the protection of our people.

The insurgency started in October 2017 and reports suggest that over 1 100 people have been killed while 100 000 are said to have been displaced.

In addition to the fact that Zimbabwe got help from Mozambique during the liberation struggle, the landlocked Southern African country has economic reasons for assisting Mozambique.

Zimbabwe can not stand a neighbour in tumoil so peace in Mozambique is peace in Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe stands to lose more if the conflict gets out of hand since it uses Mozambique ports to link with the international community.

Acts of cruelty have been practiced in Mozambique with  children's stomach's being slashed open and heads split open. Women rapped and shot in the head execution type.

The ISIS millitia if not stopped will cross into Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe was instrumental in fighting Renamo and bringing peace to Mozambique.
